Template:Virginia Radio Markets

I have a question when it comes to the Charlottesville and Blacksburg-Christiansburg-Radford-Pulaski market templates. These used to be Arbitron markets and are still listed, in some form, on a few websites that list the Arbitron ratings. I am wondering if they should still be listed as Arbitron markets or they be moved to the "Other Virginia Radio Regions" list. Either one is fine with me, just curious. - NeutralhomerTalk • 21:21, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

Blacksburg, etc. was already listed with the "Other", and I've just moved Charlottesville there as well. I'm working from a list that I excerpted from the Spring 2012 market rankings document that's on Arbitron's own site, so it's as current as you can get. Not just the Virginia template that I've found to be outdated either - if I had to guess, I'd say there are probably 30 to 40 areas that they've determined at some point over the last while are too small to be considered a market. OK, I figured you were going by either a 2011 or 2012 list, I just wasn't sure if leaving them on there since there were once Arbitron markets was a good idea, but I see where you are going and I think it is a good idea (either one was). What's funny is Harrisonburg, Virginia and Charlottesville, Virginia have right around the same amount of people, but some how Charlottesville (a MAJOR University city) got dropped and Harrisonburg was kept. :) Go figure on that one. - NeutralhomerTalk • 16:18, 7 May 2012 (UTC)

AM before FM

It was several years ago that I first saw AM before FM on WP:WPRS, so it's probably in the archives somewhere. Then there were some changes incorporating a new template & people started putting FM 1st, disregarding what WPRS had done. There ARE other templates where AM comes before FM. It was a process I was working on, changing it from FM over AM to AM over FM but was doing it slowly. If you'd like to flip Boston back to being AM over FM I'll let you do it! :) Stereorock (talk) 14:50, 11 May 2012 (UTC)

  • Per your suggestion, I've proposed making the A.M. before F.M. style the norm over on the WPRS talk page. Thank you!Stereorock (talk) 16:43, 11 May 2012 (UTC)

Need an Admin Close

Would you mind closing this? The page is clearly notable under WP:BROADCAST and consensus, the !vote is 5 to 2 against it being deleted/merged. User:Spshu is just beating a dead horse at this point. - NeutralhomerTalk • 21:44, 9 May 2012 (UTC)

After this post (top response) I honestly can't say we are dealing with someone who is all there to begin with. Can you make heads or tails of that? - NeutralhomerTalk • 21:51, 9 May 2012 (UTC)
Just got a chance to look at this, but it looks like it's already been wrapped up. Mlaffs (talk) 01:02, 12 May 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, sorry, forgot to let you know it had. Still couldn't make heads or tails out of what that guy had posted. I do think someone needs to clue him in on what is notable and what isn't. He seems to be commenting on alot of notability discussions, even redirecting a page about a town in Michigan. He isn't even close to what is notable and seems to have his own idea of what is and isn't. Maybe you can talk with him. - NeutralhomerTalk • 01:25, 12 May 2012 (UTC)
