I really had no idea that Nadia Turner had previously been deleted, & it still seems incredibly arbitrary to delete that one contestant page. That's why I flipped out. Now, I'm thinking pretty seriously about the larger issues here. It does seem odd the degree to which people use this as a general fansite for whatever is current. Don't worry about it, it's not a problem :) Articles are usually nominated for deletion in accordance with the judgment of individual editors rather than by a systematic process; if a particular editor feels an article doesn't meet WP's inclusion standards he or she will list it at AFD. Hello, it's a reference to the phrase "much of a muchness", meaning "just about the same" or "essentially similar; differing only in the details". Hello, the "associated acts" field is for "acts from which this act spun off; acts which spun off a group act; groups with which an artist performs; other acts with which the act is associated." I'm not an expert on Eminem's career, so I can't make a judgment on whether Xzibit and Nate Dogg should be included. The best way to resolve content disputes is to provide reliable sources to substantiate your facts, and discuss any disputed edits with other editors on the article's talk page. Another minor note about image use: fair use images like Image:Eminemydk.JPG should only be used in articles (see WP:NFCC#9), and images should never be used in signatures (see WP:SIG#Images).

Perhaps i thought too highly of you

I thoght we got it all cleared up that i was never any puppetmaster months ago, which then led me to think we were friends on this website. We both edited in the same forums to make it better, i understand my past on the site is what killed me, but for you to stab me in the back... I would have thought that after you recognized me you would have stayed loyal and at least not given me a vote at all, but instead you gave me an "oppose" with plenty of clarification. My understandings that I added mostly came about from reading "Principles of holography" (EXCELLENT little introductory book!) and the others were mostly for other parts of my assignment however they all contributed to the stuff I added. If specific pages and and specific references are required I can go reborrow the books and find every reference (might take a page in itself!) But if just the particular books are ok, I don't know how book references need to be added, maybe you can add them in for me? Once I've rewritten my additions so that they sound ok (no longer "chatty" or in 2nd person) and gotten a friend to rejig the diagrams so that they look reasonable (or, do you know a wiki person who is good at photoshop?) can I put my addition back in? Do I need to ask the original author of the article before adding content? I have heaps more tucked away in my head to add, if I am allowed to!!! My initial impression is that Wikipedia looks like loads of fun, can share my knowledge with everyone, however there appears to be a gigantic complicated social structure behind it...... i hope my adding of content didn't appear malicious, I promise it was intended completely innocently!! I'm sorry if I came across as rude or unwelcoming. See Wikipedia's guidelines on trivia, the neutral point of view, citing sources and tone for more info on why I reverted your edits. As a general rule of thumb, edits should be written in a neutral, formal tone, and attributed to reliable sources.

By the way, nobody owns articles, and everybody is free to contribute to any article. Please be bold in updating articles; other editors will work with you to address any problems. I see that discussion regarding your edits is already on-going at the holography talk page, and that's the best place to work out any outstanding issues with your edits. Hi, l viewed my website's listing on www.aboutus.com and www.whois.sc.

It appears to be listed as a sender of spam? And apparently, it might be a mistake as someone might have used a domain proxy server or some other technological term, but l have no way of finding out as none of the representatives of www.aboutus.com are reachable. I could leave a message by logging in, but my wikipedia login is unrecognised and there is no facility to create an account despite it being said that l could "login / create an account".

And l've noticed that all of my wikipedia posts have been deleted. Please can l ask what's going on here as l have only just become aware of this problem. I am definitely not a spammer, and have no desire for any trouble. Please can you tell me what is going on here?

Links to your website were removed because a) Wikipedia's external links guidelines recommend that editors avoid linking to sites they own or maintain, and b) Wikipedia prohibits linking to sites that exist primarily to sell a product or service. After reviewing the links and text you added to the talk page, it's not clear to me what encyclopedic additions you are trying to make. The link you provided above fails Wikipedia's guidelines for reliable sources, so it can't be used as the basis for legitimate additions to Wikipedia articles. I can only recommend that you rework your proposed addition into succinct, sourced encyclopedic prose, and work with other interested parties on the article's talk page. And arbcom has consistently found that tendentious editing is vandalism. And that is what that is. You owe him a real explination. tagging of possibly unfree images

Hi Muchness. I was pleasantly surprised to see that you tagged a few photos I uploaded. I'm new to this whole asking for permission and GDFL thing, so although I did get permission I didn't know how to document it. thanks for welcome + question on photo copyright

Thanks for the welcome, which finally resulted in me becomming a member.

A question; I've just noticed that a photo has been uploaded with mistaken copyrights. It is the photo of a Slender Antbird currently used here. It was uploaded via the Portuguese section of wiki by the user Caioipiau, where it was claimed it was copyrighted to a Mark Fellint. Unfortunately that is not the case; it was taken by Arthur Grosset, a well-known figure in Brazilian ornithology, and certainly not a person who'd allow his photos to be used for "for any purpose". It can, together with numerous other photos, also be seen on his page here: http://www.arthurgrosset.com/sabirds/slenderantbird.html

Anyway, it seems you're up-to-speed on wiki, so I'm just wondering if you'd know what to do about this.Rabo3 03:18, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

He says he was using the same type of camera used to take those pictures (according to the exif data), but wasn't sure whether they were his. He does acknowledge that if they appear on the rivals.net websites, they're not his. I'll continue to WP:AGF and delete the ones I can find elsewhere, and see if the exif data can help distinguish them. If you'll review his upload log, you can see he has been engaging in large scale copyright violations. Furthermore, he's declined to be upfront about image sourcing, forcing other editors to comb through his contribs trying to track down possible copyright violations. Of course civility is an important part of editing Wikipedia, but when a user engages in serious policy violations (in this case, violating copyright and WP:IUP) after repeated notices, warnings and discussion, sometimes administrative action needs to be taken as a last recourse. --Muchness 00:52, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
