Image copyright problem with Image:Final ADRIFT poster.jpg[edit]
Thank you for uploading Image:Final ADRIFT poster.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

- Hi Jesse,
- I actually did indicate in the changes I entered on Wednesday that I work for the Communications Department of WCS. I only edited the first paragraph of this page. I cannnot think of anything that I changed that falls into the category of "conflict of interest." We work in fewer countries than we did when the current entry was written. We have a new president. These are just facts about the organization. Who better than us to address that? I didn't delete anything related to problematic aspects of our history that are detailed in the WCS Wikipedia entry. I wasn't doing any kind of PR-related editing. I'm confused as to what exactly was changed that was a problem.
- If you still have concerns, could we speak to clarify what you need me to do?

- Sorry, but I reverted the Wednesday edits because the opening lines of "WCS combines the power of four zoos and an aquarium in New York City, and a Global Conservation Program in more than 50 countries, to achieve its mission to save wildlife" are explicitly "PR-related editing" - it's completely unencyclopedic in tone and reads like a press release. You also did not disclose that you personally were the Comms Dept, but that you got the info from there. You then went ahead and reverted without even an edit summary, which is both rude and doesn't present your WP policy position, and solidifies the claim that you seem to only be here to promote your organization rather than build an encyclopedia. Discuss on the article talk page what changes you would like to make, and wait for a disinterested party to make them. Please review the above links for more information. Thanks! - Hi - okay. Sorry for the unencyclopedic tone of that first sentence. I am honestly not a rude person. Clearly not as knowledgeable about the Wikipedia rules as I should be. Any lapse in protocol is a function of trying to resolve edits quickly. I will follow up at the talk page and let disinterested parties decide what to change. The entry for WCS in general is wildly selective in terms of the subjects that are highlighted from our history. Soon we'd love to make additional suggestions that capture a more balanced history of what the organization has done and what it is doing today.
