Orphaned non-free media (File:DotConnectAfrica_Logo.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:DotConnectAfrica_Logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 05:31, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Melesse,I uploaded the media while I was working on an article in my subpage about the organization but I deleted the article in order to work on it on my text editor and prevent it from appearing on search engines .I understand I have been a bit slow in developing the piece but I can sure you that I am working on it,consulting with various community members on LinkedIn in order to come up with something very objective .Kindly leave the image as I build the content as I would need it in the next few days when I add the article to Wikipedia.many thanks Nextafrican (talk) 12:23, 26 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Courcelles, I uploaded the image more than a month ago for use in the article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Lashford/DotConnectAfrica which am currently editing and is tagged as under revision. I kindly request that you desist from deleting it as i intend to use it in a few days' time when I will be moving the article to the main page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dotconnectafrica. Thanks. Article[edit]

Looks fine. I added a reference about the controversy over whether or not the AU had "endorsed" DotConnectAfrica, this will help make the article both more objective and show that independent sources are discussing the organisation. Tim Vickers (talk) 15:57, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
