Your RfA[edit]

I noticed you created a RfA at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Quinlanfan2. The reason I am writing you is that the only vote so far is by Ramblinwreck90, which is a user account recently created whose only contribution is that vote. This makes me think Ramblinwreck90 might be an account you created to influence the vote. Wikipedia has a policy prohibiting the creation of multiple accounts to influence votes. You may wish to read Wikipedia:Guide to requests for adminship. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a message on my talk page. —Dgiest c 22:03, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Dracula[edit]

Hello there! In reply to your question about Dracula, I am not overly sure about Van Helsing as it was a bit more "mainstreamlined" than traditional vampire literature.

Dracula is a sire, and he makes new vampires by siring them. This involves biting their necks AND feeding them his own blood. The new vampire is known as the childe, and in some traditions the childe is bound to the sire (as seen in some adaptations of Dracula, when Lucy is destroyed Dracula becomes temporarily weakened). Now this is all well and good when you're siring in the biggest city of the 19th century world, but in the middle of the Carpathian Mountains, population is a little sparse and blood isn't so easy to come by. It makes sense that Dracula doesn't get to sire too many women, hence the fact that there are only three Brides, and that they might decide to stick close to Dracula, an experienced vampire, who will bring them what they need (eg. he provides them with a baby but keeps Harker for himself: "he belongs to me!" implies some sort of agreement). The Brides don't go out hunting themselves. So the Brides are just vampire childeren [sic] who elect to stick with Drac, as its simply the safest option.

As for Van Helsing, that scene in the ballroom always confused me a little. I can only assume that the vampires are either locals whom Dracula has sired, or vampires from all over the world who see it has an honour to come and dance with the lord of blood for Halloween. Wikipedia describes them as Dracula's coven, which Wiktionary defines as a group of people sharing similar interests - haematophagy, perhaps?--Codenamecuckoo 18:53, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not too much up on the Expanded Universe, although from what I've read, the Anzati reproduce sexually, by mating. You'll probably be able to find more help on the Star Wars Wiki (but make sure you don't go near that SuperShadow con, who'll probably refuse to believe the Anzati even exist :-p).--Codenamecuckoo 09:14, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rattatakian[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Rattatakian, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. B. Wolterding 14:20, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to leave you a message outside of the wiki, but I really need to speak with you[edit]

God bless.

As I said above, I'm sorry to leave you a mesage outside of SWGames, but I believe this is important. I believe I have mishandled my administratorship on SWGames in the past and I would like to apologize for this. I left you a message there and you haven't seem to have responded, I'd just like to apologize. I see that you've edited Wikipedia again, and I've took this as a sign from God that things are about to be patched up between us. If you can find it in your heart to forgive me, I'd like to talk to you on the #swgames IRC. I'm hoping that these demons can be over. Thank you and God bless. Supergeeky1 (talk) 23:12, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thank you very much and God bless. I still have a few things I'd like to tie up before all of this is over. Please come to the IRC (#swgames). There are some things I would prefer to talk about there, rather than on talk pages. I'm very pleased that we are able to put this behind us and move on. Again, thank you very much, peace be with you, and God bless. Supergeeky1 (talk) 07:31, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • I'm on #swgames right now, if you're ready to speak. Please come as soon as possible. Supergeeky1 (talk) 15:19, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
      • Can you please join the IRC when you get the chance. I need to speak with you as soon as possible. Thank you. Supergeeky1 (talk) 23:24, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Eckharttwoface.jpg listed for deletion[edit]

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Eckharttwoface.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. ThuranX (talk) 01:11, 7 June 2008 (UTC) It's a fan made fake image previously deleted on Wikipedia. Thanks though. ThuranX (talk) 01:11, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No, it's a fake. It was debunked months ago, and starving wanna-be scooper sites resurrect the notion to get hits every so often by titling is as a 'could be', thus giving the site plausible deniability. That Warner Bros. asks them to take it down could be attributed to numerous factors, including copyright infringement, protecting the property against false advertising, watering the power of the character down, and so on. No request specifically stated that they took it down because it was real. ThuranX (talk) 03:09, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have to provide sources discrediting an already discredited image; it is your responsibility to prove it legit. However, in the interest of helping you out, here's one page on it right off the top of the google search: [1] and a forum thread which notes movies it looks like. Althoguh I cannot find it readily, and have real world stuff to do, it was earlier demonstrated that it was a screencap from thank you for smoking, combined with some undead character from some other film. ThuranX (talk) 03:23, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Here is one fan again stating it's from Thank you for Smoking. ThuranX (talk) 03:28, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Eckharttwoface.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Eckharttwoface.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:14, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image[edit]

No reliable source, then no image. YouTube is not a reliable source, and the fact that Warner Brothers requested an image or video be taken off of YouTube does not mean it is reliable either. Nothing has been "officially" released to the public. "Leaked" images are not to be placed on Wikipedia because "Leaked" is another word for "stolen". Lastly, unless there is a critical commentary on the image, it is non-free, and thus cannot be used.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 03:12, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AICN and a forum poster isn't a reliable source. Besides, it's concept art and there's no information to warrant its inclusion per WP:NFCC. Per WP:RS, the only person to have seen the film is Peter Travers. Alientraveller (talk) 15:00, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't mind its inclusion in Two-Face's page, but I corrected it for you: it's concept art. Alientraveller (talk) 15:03, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Quit spamming my page with fake reviews. Alientraveller (talk) 15:05, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
AICN is not a reliable source. In any case, it does not meet WP:NFCC. What educational use is there an unfinalised concept art on the page regarding Two-Face throughout his sixty-odd years of published existence? Oh, it's new? Secondly, I have the right to delete anything on my talk page. Alientraveller (talk) 15:11, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Anyway, I don't personally doubt it is the final Two-Face design. But WP:RS is policy and there are numerous reasons to doubt them, and if there is doubt it can't be included really. Anyone can claim to be a WB employee, anyone can send AICN an e-mail. I know it's annoying, but what might even be more annoying is someone might not want to know what he looks like. Anyway, I'll leave it at that before tougher editors come knocking. Alientraveller (talk) 15:17, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dark Knight[edit]

You cannot make a decision by yourself like that, it's called consensus, which takes longer than a couple of hours to determine. Also, verifiability is not truth. What you see is what you get and in the movie you see Batman and Gordon discussing Dent as if he died. You see the city mourning his death. You are adding your own speculation into his possible fate based on an early interview with Eckhart who said that he wanted to play the character again. That only means that he believes that they could bring him back. That does not mean that the character did not die in the film. Anakin Skywalker was "dead" in Star Wars IV, yet he miraculously was found to be alive in Empire Strikes Back. Spock died in Wrath of Khan, yet was reborn in Search for Spock. It isn't uncommon to have someone die in one film and then bring them back through retroactive continuity. The Dark Knight shows Dent "dead". There is no suggestion otherwise as to his actual fate. Unless you have a source that literally says "Dent is still alive at the end of The Dark Knight", and the Eckhardt interview does not state such a thing.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 04:05, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please see the discussion on Two-Face's fate before editing the page again. You are not only introducing false facts (Batman and James Jr. weren't hanging on a wire, Batman was holding the edge), but you are providing ambiguity to a scene (automatically making it seems as though he survived the fall), then there is no ambiguity there. There was nothing, that means absolutely nothing, in that film that suggests that he survived the fall.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 04:07, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't see his chest moving. Show me verifiable evidence that his chest was moving. A couple of Anons saying his chest was moving doesn't mean that it really was, or that he was alive. Why would the city mourn his death if he wasn't dead? You cannot stick him in Arkyum with someone noticing that it was Dent. Please read the policy on verifiability. It has nothing to do with truth. The movie shows him dead, we don't need Nolan to confirm that. We need Nolan to confirm that he is alive. You're "ambiguity" is suggesting that he is alive, when nothing in the film (sorry, I didn't see a chest move) actually suggest that. If he was alive, why wouldn't Gordon and Batman comment about how to hide him from the world?  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 04:13, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I believe that actor's breathe, and I believe that fanboys that can't stand that their favorite character was killed will often see things that don't exist just to make themselves feel better.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 04:14, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not suggesting you record anything. The point is that it is a personal perception of his "breathing". You assume that it is because he is alive, when it could merely be that either Eckhardt was caught breathing or it was merely a misperception on your part. No casket doesn't mean he didn't die, it means they didn't show it in the film. They don't show what happened to Crane, but you can assume that since he was tied up and left for the police that he was arrested - the same goes for the Joker.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 04:21, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
