Airspec-met

[edit]

Out of curiosity, what exactly were you doing with the template airspec-met? If you don't understand how the template works, I'll be happy to explain. - Emt147 Burninate! 03:19, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I see now. As noted in the instructions, if you don't understand how a template works, please ASK rather than edit. As noted in the directions, the templates you edited are to be inserted into the page by using {{subst:template name}} rather than calling them directly. When you do that, all the parameters you edited in the templates actually appear on the page. I have subst'ed in the templates on the Grob G 120 page you created, so you can go back and fill in the specifications and the infobox. I'll be happy to answer any questions and I will update the instructions to make them more clear. Thank you for contributing! - Emt147 Burninate! 03:26, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I think I got it all sorted out. The instructions were vague and the template did not behave as intended (should be fixed now). Sorry about the mess and thank you for contributing! - Emt147 Burninate! 03:34, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I created this page with the Wiki-aircraft new-page-template. Thereby the templates were inserted, and I had to put in the info I have. So I edited the templates. I deleted the informations I didn't need and added some other info. I think, the problem was that the template creating the new page called the templates directly instead of substituing them. Thanks for your help :) RichardJahn
You are correct. That was the problem. Let me know if you have other questions and thanks for contributing! - Emt147 Burninate! 16:22, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
