Military history of Italy during World War II[edit]

Hi. The piece you commented out was not my original material (although I did copyedit it). The argument for it to remain lies entirely (in my view) on the credibility of the reference. G'day mate. Thanks for the message - I remember it being by the IP and I saw when you copyedited it I. I just wanted to double check in case you kept it in for a reason. I found some books by Sadkovich on amazon, so I guess he exists. But nonetheless, the IP was highlighting battalion level actions, and as you rightly pointed out, it digresses from the main point(s).

Either way, I have a few sources that talk in one form of detail or another about those littler actions at the start of the campaign - hard to come by. Bierman & Smith and Bauer mention a bit too. I really think that sort of detail belongs in campaign specific articles or sections. I also have a good book from Chester Wilmot (you might be familiar with him? - famous correspondant of the day, died in one of the de havilland comet air disasters) on Tobruk, written primarily from the Australian perspective. I haven't looked at the related articles in too much detail, but I don't think I have seen it cited yet.

PS. I hope you don't mind. Your User page was the inspiration for mine when I put it together back in late May. There is so much for me to learn about how to contribute correctly here (syntax/code, protocol, definitions, etc). I hope you take that as a compliment - you put yours together impressively, imo - all the links help me find my way to "how-to's". If its an issue, I will change it asap. Hi. No problems at all. You don't think I worked all the good stuff out by myself did you?! No, most good ideas are adapted from stuff "borrowed" from other people. There's always something new (for instance, I only discovered {{Talkback}} a couple of days ago; a brilliant idea that helps keep a discussion thread on a single page. Hi I'm an Aussie too with some Italian in me on my father's side. I thank you for your contributions regarding the Italians soldiers in WW2. I've just added an official communique that more than proves the Italians did play an important role in defeating a strong New Zealand attack on 22 July 1942. I believe this will soon be deleted by Greenjacket01 who has claimed several times that the Italians were not present in the fighting in that location. I hope you can keep an eye on this addition by my part, after all the source not only includes the Italian official communique, but also the Germans report in their communique that the Italians were indeed present in the fighting and did their bit on on 22 July 1942 to help check the Allied assault. I have to warn everyone that this stupid charade has started again! That idiot by the name of noclador has just sent one of his sherrifs by the name of Justin (Mr A Kuntz) to ruin this page. Open proxies are easy to use to hide an IP address so in reality he could be anywhere, it seems clear it is the same guy who tried to implicate you with Noclador the second time and is trying to do it again. Cheers for that. Wasn't worried but thanks for the concern. This is why I researched the difs and wrote the summaries. I'm not so sure that this guy was trying to implicate me. I rather think he was either looking to gain a supporter or voicing protests in concert at a time when multipe users were doing the same so as to demostrate to administrators that he was not the only plaintiff. It was someone else who tried to do all the implicating (but thats another matter). Cheers Romaioi (talk)

General Comment: The socks are only partly responsible for the grief I experienced. The main cause of the grief was the abusive accuser. The grief would have been avoided if certain people did their homework competantly and "listened" to what others were saying.
