Wikipedia does not censor spoilers. I had also felt that the newer image had a better rationale for non-free usage, since another user felt that there was not anything significant about the previous image in order to comply with non-free content policies. We needed an image which had better justification for use in the article; the sources mentioned that the episode had a much darker storyline than other kid's shows, so we needed to provide an example of this darkness.
