The point was that another editor started that thread under a new topic heading. You might think that both topics are the same but the editor that made the post may not share your opinion (why did he start a new thread in the first place?). By running them together you could well be subtley changing the original intended meaning as well as messing with the chronological order. In general it is a bad idea to refactor talk pages after the event, the only widely accepted practice is when a post has messed up the page formatting in some way. Editor's posts should be left as posted as a historical record (even your own), if you have something new to say or correct, say it at the bottom. SpinningSpark 00:25, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
