Thank you for confirming your father's passing. Please accept my condolences. Your father was one of the world's greatest jazz musicians, and I am genuinely saddened by this news.

Please accept my apologies for questioning the edit to your father's wikipedia biography. It is sometimes a problem with biographies that information is added that is untrue. I couldn't find anything on the internet to confirm his passing at the time, so I reverted the edit.
