The file File:Ewald Sphere.gif has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Vectors G are supposed to be horizontal (they belong to a 2D system). And the difference of the two k's is G only when k's projection is considered onto this plane. This diagram is misleading, so it better be labeled as such or deleted. I have made a new diagram that can be seen here Reflection high-energy electron diffraction
