Request reason:

I was participating in an edit-a-thon event to celebrate Women's History Month. On Feb 29,I created this (Redacted) account in preparation for the event. Upon arriving, I was instructed to create a more un-identifiable username (less gendered, less personal information, etc.), for which I created an account: "wmsartlab." I began using this new username to create/edit some pages, and I was notified that my "wmsartlab" account was blocked by user "Acroterion," with the note: "One account please." The real issue is that this action also impacted my fellow editors at the same IP address. I'd like to ask that this IP address be opened back up for other editors. I would also like to continue to use the "wmsartlab" account, and delete the (Redacted) username. I would also request that "wmsartlab" account is unblocked. Can you please send any instruction/suggestions for moving forward? Thank you for your assistance

Accept reason:

Per below, please remember that accounts are for one person, not for organizations, so each individual editing should have their own account, and please review the COI policy linked below. Acroterion (talk) 23:12, 1 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Acroterion, I’m inclined to unblock (unless this is an org name, then I’d suggest they change the username, but I’m not sure on that one.) Your thoughts? TonyBallioni (talk) 22:56, 1 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Acroterion fix ping. TonyBallioni (talk) 22:57, 1 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I ran across this account because it triggered the spam filter - an edit attempt linked to wmsartlab.org. I'm fine with a less-personally identifiable name, but please review the conflict of interest policy where your organization is concerned, and please choose another username that satisfies your privacy concern and which doesn't represent an organization Provided you abide by the policy, I'll unblock. If there are more than one person using this account, they should obtain their own accounts - accounts may not be shared. Acroterion (talk) 23:09, 1 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I submitted a username change request: "wmsartlab" to "pmcurran" which should help with the COI issue. Thanks for considering.Wmsartlab (talk) 00:26, 2 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I've renamed you. TonyBallioni (talk) 03:38, 2 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
