Vishnu is a 1995 Tamil movie starring Joseph Vijay, Jaishankar and Sanghavi. The music is composed by Deva. The film is directed by Vijay's father, S. A. Chandrasekar.

Vishnu (Vijay)'s father wants to bring up his son as a timid person but the guy desires to explore the world and hates his Dad's overprotection. So Vishnu leaves home and goes to work in an estate claiming that he is an orphan. The owner of the estate adopts Vishnu as his son. Meanwhile Vishnu falls in love with Radha (Sanghavi). Everything goes fine for Vijay till his adoped father shows a photograph and asks Vijay to kill the people in the photo if he really wants to prove the affection he has for him. The man gives the reason that he wants them killed because they ruined his family.Vishnu agrees immediately but he's shocked to see his own father Jaishankar in the photograph. How Vijay gets to solve the mystery forms the climax of the movie

This was the first film using the song Thottbata rottu mela, sung by Vijay and his mother Shoba.

This film was produced by writer, director, producer veteran M. Basker.
