Walter Horacio Peralta Saracho (born 3 June 1982 in Montevideo) is a Uruguayan football attacking midfielder/striker currently playing for Nacional in Uruguay.
Horacio Peralta is an Uruguayan player, famous for having a "grasshopper" reputation, having played in a score of clubs all around the world. When he was a very young footballer, he demonstrated impressive capabilities, which made him to be compared to Alvaro Recoba, the famous Uruguayan striker. That early promise, however, seemed to vanish due to his behavior outside the field, where Peralta was famous for heavy partying and drinking. His playing level dropped considerably, which made it difficult for him to remain in one club.
Having resolved his problems with alcohol, Peralta tried to regain the high level he had in the past. He seems to be returning to a good game level, and is steadily improving with the Mexican club, Puebla. He scored 3 high quality goals in 11 games in the present Mexican Apertura 2008 tournament, and assisted in two other goals.
