Controversy

Mary Sansalone

In 2006, it was reported that the school was facing numerous financial difficulties. The then-appointed dean of the engineering school, Mary Sansalone drew the ire of some faculty members and students for implementing methods that students deemed as "unnjust". [1] In reaction, numerous faculty members, alumni and students alike circulated a petition to remove Sansalone from office. Chancellor Mark Wrighton and the university board defended the actions of Sansalone. [2] By Early 2008, it was reported that Sansalone resigned from her post. [3]
