The slaying of Jane McCrea was a fairly significant event in this campaign, and is covered in most books about it. For these reasons, I think it should be included in this topic. (I'm somewhat indifferent about whether it should be listed in the topic as "Jane McCrea" or "Slaying of Jane McCrea"; if reviewers have opinions, feel free to voice them.)
