For this was a special Wiki-meetup we will had it at the same time and location as the FPV Fest. South Africa's first First Person View drone festival which was hosted at the Stellenbosch Model Aircraft Academy in beautiful Stellenbosch wine country. Wikimedia ZA organised a small photographic competition to encourage members of the public, but drone flyers in particular, to submit aerial images to Wikimedia Commons for use on Wikipedia. At this event winners from the competition were announced. A few people from the meetup decided to stay on to view the drone races.
- Location:Wild Clover Farm, SMAA, Stellenbosch
- Directions: from N1 north 1 km past the Engen 1 stop, take the Klipheuwel/ Stellenbosch offramp. Turn right towards Stellenbosch, over the freeway, over a railway bridge and approx. 1.2 kms from the Villiera/ Koelenhof signs on the right-hand side.
