Superman film series[edit]

Hi! I would like to know what kind of things does this page need to be nominated for a feature article. Thanks! Limetolime 19:31, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm not so sure. The Superman film series is far older than either Spider-Man or X-Men, and its critical receptions should not be measured by websites like Rotten Tomatoes. Alientraveller 20:15, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • That's a good point. Perhaps we can do without the precise measurements of the box office performance and critical reaction and just focus on prose to shape how the films did in these two areas? —Erik (talkcontrib) - 20:18, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment Just a quick observation: is it right to call it Routh "series", when only one has been made? The heading seems to indicate that there is more than one movie, but the text does not say so. Are there more in the works? 69.202.41.119 21:40, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ah, then perhaps you might want to mention the sequel possibility in the text. 69.202.41.119 17:49, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • That's a good idea. The same thing was done for Spider-Man 4 -- information was originally placed in a Sequel section at Spider-Man 3, but when Spider-Man film series was created, the future film information was placed there instead. When this one is developed more, the content at Superman Returns#Sequel can be brought here. Just seems like this article needs to be a bit more respectable first so it doesn't seem like an unwarranted move of content. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 19:58, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment Another thing I see missing is information on the very first Superman films: Superman (1940s cartoons). These animations still influence Superman films today. Wrad 14:55, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
