This is an effort to provide guidelines and information for participants specifically interested in providing images and requesting images on Slovenian topics. Please use article "Talk" pages for issues revolving around ONLY that SPECIFIC article.

Providing photographs, screenshots and other media images[edit]
When getting a photo, it's preferable to have a GNU Free Documentation License.
Requesting photographs and images[edit]
For Slovenia-related articles needing a photograph, use {{Image requested|in=Slovenia}} in the talk page, which adds the article needing a photo to Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Slovenia. You can help Wikipedia by uploading freely licensed photographs for these articles to Wikimedia Commons.
The Free Image Search Tool may be able to locate suitable images on other web sites.
The Image Existence Checker shows articles in this list that have images.
Tips:
- Add a subject as well to the {{reqphoto}} template, it will then come to the attention of more people in other WikiProjects. For example {{reqphoto|food|in=Slovenia}}.
- See sub-categories of Category:Wikipedia requested photographs for possibilities.
- Use the of= parameter in {{reqphoto}} if it is a specific image you require.
- Add geographical coordinates to the article so people can look by region.
Addressing requests[edit]
The aim is to reduce the list of requested photographs.
- Get out there and explore the country. Check for requests near where you are with the Google map of requests.
- Look through your photo collection.
- Check article to see if pictures have been added since the request was made. If so remove the request for photo template.
- Look on the web for images
- Add co-ordinates to articles of places if missing.

- Add additional subject categories to the {{reqphoto}} template
- Add {{Commonscat}} template to articles where there is a Commons Category.
