A suggestion[edit]

Can I suggest a two-pronged approach?

  1. New editors develop their expertise by creating new articles on aspects of Monmouth, and in doing so develop their skills in article building, such as the use and citation of verifiable independent reliable sources, and the manual of style in terms of article structure. (Note: there may be a need to take account of notability considerations, to ensure that articles are not removed by other editors.) As they do so, they, together with more experienced editors, should also contribute towards.....
  2. .... developing existing articles such as (initially) that on Monmouth itself, to meet good article, and eventually featured article, standards.

A general point[edit]

Can people who start new articles - like Monmouth Methodist Church - please remember one general point? Although Monmouthpedia may be a local project, the articles here are part of Wikipedia which is a global project, and the articles are as likely - potentially - to be read by someone in Jakarta or Boise, Idaho as by someone in Rockfield, Monmouthshire. So, all the articles contributed need to set out basic information, along the lines of: "XXX is a ....... located in Monmouth, south east Wales". Thanks.
