The Ranter listed here as Laurence Claxton is known by the two major historians who work on him (C. Hill and J. C. Davis) as Laurence Clarkson (they agree on nothing else, but they agree on that), and I've created a page there and made Claxton a redirect. However, EB has always had, and continues to have, their article at Laurence Claxton. Libraries are divided: Harvard has him at Clarkson, Library of Congress at Claxton. Should we follow EB or go our own way? I'm open to ideas, but my own feeling is that Clarkson is more accurate from a scholarly point of view. Chick Bowen 05:09, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
