Yermolayev (Russian: Ермолаев, masculine) and Yermolayeva (Russian: Ермолаева; feminine) is a Russian surname.

Yermolayev is derived from the given name Yermolay (or Ermolai, Ermolay, Yermolai; Russian: Ермолай), which was from the Greek Hermolaos, meaning "the people of Hermes".[1][2]
