Zindagi Khatti Meethi

Zindagi Khattee Meethi is an Indian television sitcom, directed by Ashwini Chaudhary. It aired on Disney Channel India from 31 January 2015 to 6 June 2015.

Premise

A disciplined and strict Roy Choudhary family who live in Indore come across the outrageous and loud Sinha family. Being neighbours, their paths cross everyday which leads to a hilarious fest if one-upmanship.

Cast and characters

• Rajesh Kumar as Mr. Diptiman Roy Chowdhury: He is the patriarch of the family and an honest IAS officer. He is a strict and by-the-rulebook kind of person. He is the father of Anjan and husband of Meghmala. His biggest enemy is Mrs. Lajwanti Sinha Sinha.
• Rinku Kamkar as Mrs. Lajwanti Sinha: She is an illiterate but fun-loving person. She is the wife of Ram Ashrey and mother of Tara. She is a bossy and boasting woman. She teases Mr. Chowdhury very much much to the latter's dismay and anger.
• Neeraj Sood as Mr. Ram Ashrey Sinha: He is husband of Mrs. Lajwanti Sinha and father of Tara. He is the patriarch of the family and has a business of scrap. He is a supportive husband and is always there to help out his brother, Tarun.
• Sheetal Maulik as Mrs. Meghmala Roy Chowdhury: She is wife of Mr. Roy Chowdhury and mother of Anjan. She is good-natured and forgetful. She is a kind mother and a supportive wife. She could always be found with her sister, Appu.
• Jayashree Venketaramanan as Appu: She is the younger sister of Mrs. Chowdhury. She is in love with Tarun Sinha, Mr. Ram Ashrey Sinha's brother.
• Abhishek Tiwari as Tarun Sinha: He is the younger brother of Mr. Sinha. He is in love with Appu, Mrs. Meghmala Roy Chowdhury's sister.
• Viren Vazirani as Anjan Roy Chowdhury: He is a well-disciplined and obedient child. He is a friend of Tara even though they sometimes fight.
• Swini Khara as Tara Sinha: She is a stylish girl and talks in rhyming sentences. She is a friend of Anjan even though they sometimes fight.
• Madhavi Singh as Rita D'Souza: She is the maid of the Chowdhury's and is Lakhan's 's fiancée.
• Arbendra Pratap Singh as Lakhan: He is the servant of the Sinha's and is Rita's fiancée
