Ziv (Hebrew: זיו) is a Hebrew language ом-хх- rrhchggytdvword and name meaning light or glow. It is also an alternative name of the Hebrew month of Iyar found in the early works of the Hebrew Bible before the destruction of the First Temple in Jerusalem.

Some have written that the world was created twice. First God provided all his radiance and light, his 'Ziv' upon the world, but it was too much. On the second time, only one 'ziv', one ray of god's light, was enough.
