KingsOfHearts 4[edit]

Yet another sock of banned user KingsOfHearts (talk · contribs), obvious by tone and contribution history. I suggest WP:RBI. //Blaxthos ( t / c ) 22:13, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dsticker has only edited the talk page of one article. Can you make a better case? RlevseTalk 23:22, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Supposedly brand-new user; similar editing interest; savvy about what a sockpuppet is [1]; referring again to O'Reilly's lengthy criticism page [2] (not by name, as everyone on the discussion knows what he's talking about, i.e. "Olbermann's counterpart"); and "self-conscious defense" of the indef-blocked Fru23 [3] despite Fru23 not even having been directly brought up. Typical sock behavior. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 02:30, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with Bugs, I was on my way to file when I saw this. His very first edit was to call another editor biased, basically taking up the fight for his suspected sockmaster. I basically called him a sock on the page, and go no denial. Has no interest in anything other than continuing the fight started by his suspected sockmaster. Dayewalker (talk) 03:10, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks to Bugs for being more verbose and including diffs. There is little question that this is another sock by which a banned editor is continuing to push his agenda. //Blaxthos ( t / c ) 18:33, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

KingsOfHearts 3[edit]

Still might be a good idea to run it, considering the level of disruption. Depending on the result, I might move for a community ban. Blueboy96 23:02, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Confirmed Currently availabe technical evidence indicates that the following accounts are related:

 IP blocked -- Avi (talk) 05:28, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Clerk note: Confirmed accounts indef blocked and tagged. Tiptoety talk 20:33, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

KingsOfHearts 2[edit]

Only hours after KingsOfHearts and Fru23 were blocked, JcLiner appears, and immediately starts contributing to the very same articles that Fru23 and KingsOfHearts contributed. That wouldn't be problematic in and of itself, except his sixth edit was to immediately state on his userpage, "I am not a sock of Fru23," and his seventh edit was to jump into the ANI discussion. User also states intent to "continue where he (Fru23) left off" after being blocked. Blueboy96 21:06, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Coupled with the behavior, that's enough for me, speaking as a former admin on political sims. Indefblocked. Blueboy96 21:39, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment - There is zero doubt this is the same person as previously suspected. I strongly recommend blocking the ip's from editing and creating new users. //Blaxthos ( t / c ) 23:13, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
To add, I've found that the following are also  Confirmed as KingsOfHearts:
  1. Wit001 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
  2. Bint7 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
  3. Op4life (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)

No edits, but matching user agents and user creation just a few minutes apart from editing activity from KingsOfHearts or Fru23. Nishkid64 (Make articles, not wikidrama) 21:02, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

User:Wknight94 has indef-blocked those 3 sleeper account. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 21:35, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

KingsOfHearts[edit]

  • Supporting evidence: While discussion was underway at WP:ANI regarding a possible topic ban for Fru23, Barneca mentioned that there were strong similarities between the edits of KingsOfHearts and Fru23. The IP is clearly KingsOfHearts, as one of its edits in July ([6]) was to revert to a version previously edited by KingsOfHearts. The IP's September edits, according to Barneca, also reveal this IP is KingsOfHearts logging out to edit. Fru23 appeared to log out to contribute to the ANI discussion here. However, the IP is supposedly dynamic--the only thing preventing a definitive answer at this point without technical evidence. Wikiport is included here because AuburnPilot mentioned that s/he edited in a similar vein to both KingsOfHearts and Fru23. Blueboy96 01:51, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • Kingofhearts and I have edited no common pages. Fru23 (talk) 02:00, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
      • Near as I can tell, Fru23's and KingsOfHearts' edits as named users are on the same topic but not the same specific articles. Where they cross over is the IP, which Fru23 says is dynamic, but that's something I would not necessarily take his word on. There are, of course, similarities in style and attitude between Fru23 and KingsOfHearts. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 02:08, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • Running a direct edit comparison tool reveals many similarities and patterns for all of the related accounts, supporting evidence provided at ANI and by Blueboy. seicer | talk | contribs 02:26, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • (e/c)Fru23 and KingsOfHearts have evidently been careful not to edit common pages, but they have very similar article interests (particularly Bill O'Reilly), and very similar issues (aggressive accusations of POV pushing against their opponents, and removal of perceived BLP issues. Indeed, given their interests, I'd say it's actually more suspicious that they have no pages in common; each one editing about the same general issues in the same general articles, and never having any overlap whatsoever? --barneca (talk) 02:27, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Added Lobocf per this--his first edit. Blueboy96 02:39, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I think I found a smoking gun: on November 6th, the IP edited Criticism of George W. Bush here: [7]. Then, when it was reverted, KingsOfHearts reverted back. This is before and after edits by the IP that Fru23 has taken ownership of. They're definitely editing from the same IP address. --barneca (talk) 02:41, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Another curiosity is this image File:BiLLL.jpg which was supposedly taken on-set just a couple of days ago by KingsOfHearts. Since O'Reilly does not use a studio audience, the photo most likely was taken by a staffer. Supposedly, Fru23 once claimed he was a staffer, and then later recanted. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 02:46, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Possibly fishing, but I suspect there may also be a relation to Jsn9333 (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log· investigate · cuwiki). Jsn was eventually topic banned from Fox News Channel related pages, and often used IP addresses tracing back to the DC area(65.222.174.121 (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log· investigate · cuwiki), for example, which traces to a DC suburb). Jsn was obsessed with the sources of criticism sections, much like Fru23. See also Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/Jsn9333. - auburnpilot talk 02:48, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • (as posted to ANI) It's worth noting that this diff and this one both use Fru23's idiosyncratic use of 'BOLP' instead of 'BLP', which I haven't ever seen used by anyone else. //roux   03:06, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ARE YOU JOKING Barneca THE ONLY ARTICLE I HAVE EDITED THAT IS REMOTELY SIMILAR IS THE OREILLY ONE. EVERYONE SEEMS TO FORGET THAT EVEN IF WE ARE SOMEHOW SOCKS THAT IS NOT A BANABLE/BLOCKABLE OFFENSE we have not crossed paths ONCE! I AM TYPING IN CAPS BECAUSE I AM YELLING VERY LOUD! Someone is tell me if there is anything I can do to make him shut up about this stupid meatpuppet accusations? Fru23 (talk) 03:47, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In other words--all  Confirmed? Blueboy96 15:52, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, Lobocf and Wikiport edit from different ips and are most likely different from the puppetmaster of the others, and probably not even the same editor as between themselves. Fred Talk 15:57, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the clarification. KingsOfHearts, Fru23 and Xrxty all blocked indef; 72.192.216.42 blocked 48 hours. Blueboy96 16:09, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
