Reasons for Yanukovych not to sign the EU agreement[edit]

I would like to suggest the following sentence to the section right after the following sentence: "Both Yanukovych and high level EU officials signalled that they wanted to sign the Association Agreement at a later date."

Yanukovych explained later to his own entourage the decision as the result of an exchange with Putin, who had allegedly threatened to occupy Crimea and a good part of southeastern Ukraine, including the Donbas, if he signed the EU agreement.[1]

The ment[edit]

The opening paragraph states that:

"The protests were sparked by President Viktor Yanukovych's sudden decision not to sign the ment, instead choosing closer ties to Russia and the Eurasian Economic Union."

What is "the ment"? 2A0A:EF40:810:401:C433:D932:7B2E:64C5 (talk) 07:32, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
