In 1984, the Afghan Air Force and Soviet Air Forces attacked Pakistani frontier towns, killing over 130+ people.[1] Afghan forces used both air and ground attacks, while Soviet MIGs bombed a Waziristani village, causing the deaths of 40 civilians. This assault highlighted the conflict's devastating impact on border communities.[2][3]
