Number of multiples of 3 under 20[edit]

I added a paragraph to this article basically saying that there are an infinite number of multiples of 3 below 20, rather than the "correct" answer given in the show of "six". It was removed in just a few minutes. I'm wondering if it was removed because there was an issue with the factual nature of the paragraph (ie. I'm wrong) or if it was removed because it could be percieved to have cast the show in a poor light or if there was some other reason?

While there are technically an infinite number of multiples of 3 below 20 (indeed, that's what I remarked when I saw it), the term multiples is generally used to describe positive integer multiples, I think. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.218.59.237 (talk) 00:39, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Remember, this show is based on Yr 5 curriculum. Your paragraph was probably removed because it was perceived as irrelevant (i.e. including material more advanced than the 5th grade curriculum), but it may also have been perceived as wrong. In both cases, the reason it that the term "multiple" is generally used to described positive multiples, which is the meaning taught in school (it's the meaning taught at that level of school, at least). It may have been removed because it cast the show in a poor light, but Wikipedia does not tolerate any edits being made for that reason. Brian Jason Drake 04:23, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Contestant selection[edit]

Are the contestants on this show regular folk or casted by casting agenices? They seem to be overacting (badly) to me, I would be glad to be proven wrong however. 58.163.131.92 09:10, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, they do seem to be overacting a bit. It seems unlikely that contestants would be chosen based on acting ability alone (or even primarily for their acting ability), however. For the second series at least, they ask a lot of questions that have nothing to do with acting, and they don't say that they want actors. I don't know anything about contestant selection though. Article says that one man has won $500,000 and then says that no adults have won the $500,000 prize.
