Lyrics[edit]

There seem to be several typos in the lyrics -- misspellings ("to" for "too", "hime" for "him"). Also, the chorus seems to be

Help me find the way.
Teach me all that I must do
To live with me someday.

Is this correct? I am not familiar with LDS teaching, but I would have thought it would be "Teach me all that I must do to live with Him some day". Could someone more knowledgeable fix the lyrics? Or, if "To live with me some day" is correct, could someone provide a link to explain what that means in LDS theology? --SV Resolution(Talk) 12:46, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, actually it is:

Help me find the way.
Teach me all that I must do,
To live with him some day.

Category:Songs about children[edit]

Regarding the question of whether or not this song belongs in Category:Songs about children: I have just finished yet another complete read-thru of the lyrics, and I'm afraid I found nothing to persuade me that it belongs there. As I said in my edit summary, the song is (primarily) FOR children - which is why it's included in Category:Children's songs. I understand that it may feel like it's "about children". However, the ONLY thing that even suggests that it might be "about" children - and not just FOR them - is the words of the title that are repeated throughout: "I Am a Child of God". But of course, ALL believers are considered "Children of God". In short, there is nothing at all in the lyrics - not a single word - that is actually, specifically about children.

Hope that helps! Regards, Anomalous+0 (talk) 07:21, 25 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
