AfD Nomination: Teic.ie[edit]

Speedy deletion nomination of Art in the Contemporary World[edit]

A tag has been placed on Art in the Contemporary World requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Article Creation[edit]

Hi Robfitzgib! It looks like you have created a number of new articles. You and I have had some talks about one of them already, and I noticed a second was just recently tagged for deletion. I know it can be discouraging for new editors to have a number of articles disputed early on - although it is not unusual when a number of articles are created very quickly.

Might I suggest trying out the article creation wizard. It does a pretty good job of making sure your article's subject meets the Wikipedia inclusion policies. Singularity42 (talk) 21:19, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Can you look at Art in the Contemporary World and tell me if it now meets notability criteria? If not, I shall add more. I know you didn't nominate, I'm just looking for an opinion so I can get more used to this. Robfitzgib (talk) 22:06, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm... I'm not entirely sure what the issue is, but I'll tell you what always helps. If you have third-party, reliable sources that have convered the project, then add them to the article. Truthfully, I would suggest asking the editor who tagged the article. If it is deleted before you get a reply, ask the deleting administrator. That's the best advice I can give.
