Beleive it or not... he did actually perform as a rapper in his younger days. Can't recall if his rapper name was Juggernaut or something else... in any event, that edit was uncited of course....but it might actually not have been outright vandalism.--Dr who1975 (talk) 03:26, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

Indiana template

Hello, you recently edited template:Indiana. Now Clarksville, Indiana, the largest town in the state, is no longer showing in the list of largest towns. I'm not sure that it was your edit that did it, but I was hoping you might know how to fix it? I would try to fix it, but I would probably just make it worse. Thanks Charles Edward 00:03, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

It wasn't Hoos' that did it; I fixed the problem.--Bedford Pray 00:10, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Chase Tower (Indianapolis)

I posted the following to User talk:Indy830:

I have noticed the edit war that you and TheHoosierState89 have been engaged in over numbers in the Chase Tower (Indianapolis) article. I reviewed two sources, the emporis.com page, which lists the building at 49 floors, and the official page put out by the building's management, lists the building at 48 floors and 829 feet. I would presume that the page put out by the management to be more accurate than Emporis, which relies on members of the public to update their site, much the same way that wikipedia does. Please do not change this information again unless you have a more reliable source. --rogerd (talk) 02:21, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

The Luke Pic

Awesome pic that you added to the article. Great job! -- MeHolla! 12:42, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Your reversion of Indianapolis Colts

The change made by the anon is factually correct. Why did you revert it? Kurt Weber (Go Colts!) 18:07, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

Thank You!

Thanks for your continued work on WP:INDP, even when everyone else seems to have forgotten. -- MeHolla! 15:22, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

Lucas Oil Stadium

I'm not really going to bother with this, but look at the infobox. The list of tenants is so cluttered as to be nearly unusable, when only one or two really matters. Other stadiums generally list the sports teams that are there, major sporting events that occur regularly (bowl games), and the Super Bowl. By those criteria, only the Colts and the Super Bowl should stay. By the way, many of those same organizations and events also took place at the RCA Dome, and only the Colts and NCAA tournament are on that infobox. Charles 01:09, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

DYK

Updated DYK query On 8 July, 2008, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Indianapolis Fire Department, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Re:Indianapolis Buildings

Let me start by saying excellent work! This list could be at FLC tomorrow; you have certainly done a great job. But anyway, I am happy to help. For the skyline ranking, see User:Raime/Skyline rankings. It looks as though Tampa was just left off one part of the Indianapolis list's notes section. Cheers, Raime 04:23, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Yes, I would say that the list should include the monument; non-building structures that are higher than the cutoff are included but not ranked in U.S. tallest buildings lists. For examples, you can see List of tallest buildings in Seattle, List of tallest buildings in Dallas and List of tallest buildings in Toronto. Cheers, Raime 04:31, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
No, that is a mistake in the list - you can see from List of tallest buildings in Baltimore that there are only two 500 ft+ buildings, not 3. And you are very welcome! Cheers, Raime 18:46, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
I definitely agree, and have just nominated it (see Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of tallest buildings in Indianapolis). I listed it as a co-nom, hope this is okay! Again, terrific work on the list! Cheers, Raime 20:20, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

The fixhtml tags need to be there; the infoboxes are causing the "[edit]" links to display incorrectly. 69.221.162.255 (talk) 01:52, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

The Madame Walker Theatre Center needs a lot of work. Considering its a NHL with significant history (then again, that's why its a NHL), it needs more pics. I was rushed for time, which is why I onyl have oen shot of it, taken while driving through Indianapolis. If you want a place to take pictures of, that should be high priority. (I'm busy with too many other things to give it the attention it deserves).--Bedford Pray 05:57, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

An invitation

I like the excellent stuff you're putting up on Wikipedia. I would like to invite you to contribute also to Hoopedia. Hoopedia is a basketball wiki sponsored by the NBA. It's a lot more wide-open than Wikipedia, but also smaller. We're trying to change that. I have a particular interest in getting you to pay some attention to Hoopedia, since I am a transplanted Hoosier and the sections on Hoosier Hysteria need work!

Come take a look.

I'd like to use Susan Bayh as an DYK hook, but someone wonders if there is BLP concerns. I said I knew someone who would be good in correcting any concerns, and I was referring to you. If you could check it out, and would be cool. The hook consideration for Mrs. Bayh is in the July 22nd section.--Bedford Pray 20:18, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

They were worried about the article being overly critical on Mrs. Bayh. Basically, do you feel there is any NPOV troubles, and do you feel you could add more interesting facts to the article.--Bedford Pray 00:46, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Kasha Terry

Good morning TheHoosierState89,

First, thank you so much for putting Kasha's information on Wikipedia. I am Kasha's sister, Deidre and I have tried on 3 occasions to put the correct information on her on the wikipedia page you created for her and each time the correction was undone. Kasha was not born in Douglasville, Georgia, she was born in Bamberg, Germany. If you could make that correction, that would be great.

Thank you so much —Preceding unsigned comment added by Deereeves (talkcontribs) 16:38, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

I just spoke with my mother, who is a reliable source, and although we lived in Bamberg, Germany, Kasha was actually born in Nuremberg, Germany. I understand what you are saying, however, the "reliable" source that provided you with her birth place as Douglasville, is incorrect. I am just extremely proud of my sister and want the correct bio on her, but thanks for what you have done thus far. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Deereeves (talkcontribs) 17:08, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Kasha Terry's Birthplace

Good morning Mr.TheHoosierState89, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for your support of Kasha Terry and the way you've protected her on Wikipedia. My name is Hilda Terry and I'm Kasha's mother. I put the information about her on this site because it asked for well known people from Douglasville. Kasha was born in Neurenberg, Germany. She is a "Military Brat". As much as I (WE) love Douglasville, GA, she only attended Middle/High school there. I hope that Kasha had a chance to meet you, while she was in Indiana. Again, THANK YOU for protecting my DAUGHTER.

Rasho Nesterović

Dear HoosierState89,

The correct accent mark that needs to be used for Rasho's last name is ć and not č as Rasho is Serbian and is only born in Slovenia. Serbians use the letter ć but since Slovenians do not have this letter in their alphabet and only have the letter č, they use the latter. On the back of Rasho's jersey for the Slovenian national basketball team, the letter ć is used. I can find a picture if you'd like. The title of his wiki-article is misspelled. The title should be Radoslav Nesterović as Rasho is only his nickname. For example, the Stojaković article is Predrag Stojaković and not Peja Stojaković.

PS.

I hope I didn't annoy you with all these edits. Please get back to me ASAP.

Incidents at Disney parks assessment

Hi - you gave Incidents at Disney parks a "B" assessment recently. While I see that it's not quite GA status for various reasons that (should be) easily cleaned up, what are the specifics that you would look for? The "B" status states in part: it has significant gaps or missing elements or references - with 87 references and no FACT tags, I don't think this counts. needs substantial editing for English language usage and/or clarity - it's fairly clear from my point of view, but would appreciate suggestions. contains other policy problems such as copyright, NPOV or NOR - I'll admit there's still WP:BLP cleanup to do, but the article is fairly NPOV as it is. I'd say it's closer to "B-" than "B". Your suggestions appreciated. (the other Incidents articles? Well, they need some additional work later) 24.98.248.73 (talk) 03:15, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

revision 231031269

I was unaware of the strict rule that requires that all photos of Indianapolis be general views or skylines. So sorry to have put you to the trouble of deleting my changes. HJB (talk) 04:59, 11 August 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by HalloweenHJB (talkcontribs) 04:58, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

I don't know that there is any kind of "rule" like that. I saw HJB's image and I think that it may have some value. In fact, showing too many views of the skyline gets a little repetitive. There are also articles on the Indiana Central Canal and White River State Park. --rogerd (talk) 11:17, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
It's not that it's a rule or anything, just that there are so many different images that could be added I figured it would be easy to limit it to a certain kind of image. HoosierStateTalk 15:23, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
Well perhaps I don't understand the concept. Is there a person who is elected or selected to watch over the content of certain pages on Wikipedia, and who have the prerogative to remove additions and delete changes? Are the articles signed by an author who has the right to control their content? Confused. HJB (talk) 21:39, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
No, it is a community effort. See WP:OWN for further details. HoosierStateTalk 22:08, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

WP:CHICAGO

According to my records, you have nominated at least one article (Super Bowl XLI) that includes a category at WP:CHIBOTCATS and that has been promoted to WP:FA, WP:FL or WP:GA. You are not signed up as an active member of WP:CHICAGO. If you consider yourself either an active or semi-active member of the project please sign up as such at Wikipedia:WikiProject Chicago/members. WP:Indianapolis

Thanks for the invite to Wikiproject Indianapolis. I'll definately join. I'm impressed with your interest in making articles about buildings. I'd like to do the same for all of the public art in Indianapolis. I wonder, though, if this should be its own wiki project or if this could fall in to the Indy one. What do you think?

Also, I'd like to do the same for the artworks in the state of Indiana ... but that's a huge job.

In the 1990s the Fed gov't sponsered a survey of many of the artworks in Indiana (Save Outdoor Sculpture!) http://www.heritagepreservation.org/Programs/Sos/index.html

Also, this book was published in 2005, which has lots of info about public artworks in Indiana: Greiff, Glory-June: "Remembrance, Faith & Fancy; Outdoor Public Sculpture in Indiana", page 261. Indiana Historical Society Press, 2005.

Thanks again --Richard McCoy (talk) 17:09, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Portal:Indianapolis/On this day...

You were unable to create the pages because of the ... in the article name- something very similar happened yesterday. I have created the pages for you here and here. It may be best to select an alternative without the '...', but you should be ok editing those two pages now. J Milburn (talk) 11:48, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

The problem is simply that a non-admin cannot create (or move a page to) a title with the '...' in. You can still edit them, but moving them (for consistency with those created in the future) may be an option. That said, if you move them, you may be unable to automatically create the redirect on the original title... If you updated all the links, you could move them. If there are only a few of them created, then that would be a good option. J Milburn (talk) 14:12, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

A sponge for you, and opinions on mops

I have granted rollback rights to your account; after a review of some of your contributions, I believe I can trust you to use rollback correctly by using it for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. :)

Also, have you run for adminship before? I think you do fine work here, and would like to know a bit more about you. We could certainly use your help in the admin corps! Would you be interested? Hope to hear back from you. :) GlassCobra 19:05, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

Mayor Ballard pic

A newbie put in a pic of Mayor Ballard on Wikipedia: Image:GregBallard.jpg. However, this user apparently has a problem with images he uploads. As you are more familiar with Indy media than I would be, could you see if you can make sure it is safe for us to use?--King Bedford I Seek his grace 04:25, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

If the ... is that problematic, then let's get rid of them. Make sure that, when/if we fill out the rest of the dates, we won't have the ... come back again.--King Bedford I Seek his grace 04:49, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

I just saw the redesign, nice work ;-) « Gonzo fan2007 (talkcontribs) @ 19:49, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Yeah it looks good, and no problem. I stole the basic design, and then did a million small fixes to "perfect" the design. FYI, if you adjust the number like I did in this edit, you can adjust how tall the boxes are (and thus adjust how much white space is at the bottom). « Gonzo fan2007 (talkcontribs) @ 07:55, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
