WPAL
Hello, I am one of the editors at WikiProject Alabama. We wanted to explain why your creation of a dab page at WPAL was reverted. WPAL has been a link to our project page for quite sometime. The sudden change caught our editors by surprise. I think the link to the radio station WPAL-FM from WPAL should be reconsidered for the following reasons:
- It disrupts an active WikiProject;
- It links to a station which is not even on the air;
- The call letters are unique in that there is no AM or TV.
Perhaps a better solution, which I will go ahead and add, is a link at our project directing people to the station. Would that be acceptable to you?
Thanks, -JodyB talk 13:16, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Utilizing WPAL as a link to your project is a cross-namespace redirect, which is frowned upon. Moreover, according to Whatlinkshere for WPAL, there is no instance of it for that purpose other than on three userpages. If anything, WPAL should be a redirect to WPAL-FM. However, to prevent any users from being lost, I created the dabpage, which I'm going to revert back to now for the reasons I have listed. JPG-GR (talk) 18:12, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- From WP:REDIRECT#DELETE#5: It is a cross-namespace redirect out of article space, such as one pointing into the User or Wikipedia namespace. The major exceptions to this rule are the "WP:" shortcut redirects (like WP:RFD), "CAT:" shortcut redirects and "WT:" shortcut redirects, which technically are in the main article space but in practice form their own "pseudo-namespaces". All "articles" beginning with "WP:" are in fact redirects.
- For clarification, the WPAL link does not qualify here as it is not of the form WP:AL, which unfortunately is already taken by another project. JPG-GR (talk) 18:16, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- You seem to be right. I do wish you would communicate before making such changes however. Thanks. -JodyB talk 18:25, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- As I had already stated, I checked the Whatlinkshere, and finding only 3 links to this user of WPAL, I decided to be bold. JPG-GR (talk) 19:35, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

Template:RadioTranslators
There is a bug in the RadioTranslators template -- there is nothing that differentiates AM stations from FM stations, as all stations link to the FCC's FM database. In the Moody Broadcasting Network article, there's a list using this template, but the network has several affiliates on the AM band. Could the template be adjusted so that the station could link to the correct database? Thanks again. -- azumanga (talk) 03:15, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- There is no such thing as a licensed AM radio translator in the United States. These stations you speak of are either not translators or are not licensed. The use of this particluar template in this particular situation is invalid. JPG-GR (talk) 03:17, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- Try utilizing {{RadioRebroadcasters}} instead. JPG-GR (talk) 03:20, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- The Moody Broadcasting Network list is showing incorrect and misleading information. Nothing on there says if the stations are 24/7 translators of MBN or part time.
- If this is the file that you are using for the list, it says there "Moody’s Owned and Operated Stations, Translator Outlets, and Satellators (highlighted in blue) carry the complete schedule of Moody Broadcasting programs. Our affiliate stations (in black type) carry a portion of this programming." The stations on the list should be divided like-wise so it is not misleading. As it stands now, it seems like all the stations listed carry the full schedule of MBN programming, when they do not...or are all owned by MBN, when they also are not. - NeutralHomer T:C 03:27, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- Keep the article discussion to the actual article's talkpage, NH. And, kindly remove my talk page from your watchlist. JPG-GR (talk) 03:28, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- You created the list, so it is your job to make it work correctly. I will do that for you. - NeutralHomer T:C 03:30, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- I made the template. If you actually checked the history of the article before accusing me of adding false info to Wikipedia, you'd see I've never even edited the article. So, knowing I won't get the apology you owe me for once again falsely accusing me of something with no proof whatsoever, kindly take the article discussion to the actual article's talkpage and remove my talk page from your watchlist. JPG-GR (talk) 03:34, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- Moreover, nothing on Wikipedia is a "job." Nor, it is your job to stalk my edits and talk page CONSTANTLY, though you seem to treat it like your job, and you don't even do it all that well, based on the false accusations. JPG-GR (talk) 03:38, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- That's great and all, but I have updated the page correctly and will be "fixing" the template presently. - NeutralHomer T:C 04:18, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- Template updated from 21 to 30. 21 is not sufficient room for translators/stations in states like Texas or California. - NeutralHomer T:C 04:27, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) Thank you for proving my point. And there was nothing to be "fixed" with the template - it had yet to be utilized anywhere where there were 30 translators and no station has come along that requires them. I'm reverting those changes because, as stated above, the stations in those lists are NOT translator stations and this template is not the appropriate choice. However, feel free to make the appropriate changes to {{RadioRebroadcasters}}, an appropriate template for this purpose, as I mentioned to Azumanga. JPG-GR (talk) 04:28, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- Check the Texas affiliate section of the [Moody Broadcasting Network]] where there are 26 stations in one section, which is currently "broken" because of your revert. - NeutralHomer T:C 04:35, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, because for the third time on my talk page, when the discussion should be taking place on the article's talkpage, the wrong template is being used. Does a bold font help, or should I increase the font size? Perhaps you'd like to install Microsoft Agent? JPG-GR (talk) 04:37, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- Perhaps you just don't want to admit you are owning the crap out if this template? I will revert for you...I still have that power. - NeutralHomer T:C 04:39, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- PERHAPS YOU SHOULD TRY READING THE CONVERSATION FOR ONCE. IF YOU AREN'T GOING TO READ WHAT I'M POSTING IN RESPONSE TO YOU ON MY TALK PAGE, STOP FUCKING POSTING ON MY TALK PAGE. JPG-GR (talk) 04:43, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- I reverted your change on the Texas affiliate section of the [Moody Broadcasting Network]]. You are just being silly. Also, I wouldn't post cuss words on your talk page. That got me in trouble once. - NeutralHomer T:C 04:45, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- So, I fix the problem, and then you revert it? You do realize you're just blindly reverting me again, since you clearly REFUSE to read what I'm trying to explain to you and try to understand it. THIS is why you alienate so many people - you post INCESSANTLY to their talk pages, and when they try to have a discussion with you YOU DO NOT LISTEN, and then you blindly revert. JPG-GR (talk) 04:47, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah I reverted...cause you used a template that doesn't have the FCC Listings beside the entry. You are own'ing over this template and reverting what....the addition of 9 blank entries? Why? - NeutralHomer T:C 04:57, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- The FCC column is not included because {{RadioRebroadcasters}} is used for the US and Canada. And, for the last time (this being the fourth time on my talk page, when the discussion should be taking place on the article's talk page), the stations listed there are NOT translators, so {{RadioTranslators}} is NOT the correct template. They ALL need to be changed to {{RadioRebroadcasters}}. JPG-GR (talk) 05:01, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah I reverted...cause you used a template that doesn't have the FCC Listings beside the entry. You are own'ing over this template and reverting what....the addition of 9 blank entries? Why? - NeutralHomer T:C 04:57, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- You want them changed to {{RadioRebroadcasters}}, then do this....add an FCC link beside the entries. I don't know why that would be a problem...hell, that is a simple cut and paste. Again, WP:OWN.
- Also, I wouldn't have to bring a "minor situation" to ANI, if you could work with others and not own over everything. - NeutralHomer T:C 05:05, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- I find it entertaining that I have no problem working with any other editors, yet you have a history of it. I believe you need to step back, look over the whole situation, and re-evaluate your position. JPG-GR (talk) 05:08, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- I find it quite entertaining that you see no problem violating and disregarding WP:OWN, one of them "rules" we have here. Once you add something to Wikipedia, it is not yours anymore (unless you have a copyright on it). Since you don't have a copyright on the template, it ain't yours and I can edit it. Adding 9...NINE...blank entries is something you think should be reverted? Now that is entertaining to me. - NeutralHomer T:C 05:13, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- As no radio station in the US has more than 21 translator stations (as of an October check, feel free to find me one that does), there is absolutely no reason to have more than 21 blanks, unless you are using the template incorrectly. ADDITIONALLY: this is my last comment on this matter on my talk page. Since you have REFUSED to discuss this situation in the mainspace (where it should be), any further conversation can take place at the WP:ANI thread you started. JPG-GR (talk) 05:15, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

- Fine, but I will still comment on your "final" comment..........Welcome to January 2008, this ain't October pal. Also, why would it matter if there were 21 spaces...or 30...or 10? Who picks, honestly? You, me? No...it is determined by how many spaces is needed at that moment. - NeutralHomer T:C 05:26, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

....and that is as of 12/29/2007 from http://crtech.org/fxactive.html. Looks more than 21 to me, what do you think? - NeutralHomer T:C 05:26, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- A potentially lovely violation of WP:NOT#DIR, that's for sure. Regardless, as {{RadioTranslators}} is not intended to be used the way you are using it in the Moody page (or, as you falsely accused me of using it, originally), the point is moot. Archiving. JPG-GR (talk) 05:32, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

Vandalism Warning
I have reverted your massive amount of vandalism (to revert me) on ANI. I suggest you never do that again as it has gotten many in trouble. - NeutralHomer T:C 06:42, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- Assume good faith. A slip of the keyboard, obviously. I was attempting to correct your modification of my indenting, which could be seen as editing another editor's comments. JPG-GR (talk) 06:43, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
OK...
"one of the most insulting people I've ever come across in my entire time online" = violation of WP:NPA. - NeutralHomer T:C 06:55, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
Merge tags
Well, that was a slight mistake on my part adding to the wrong page. But, if you would like to add a correct merge tag, then go right ahead. - NeutralHomer T:C 07:08, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
By The Way...
It appears the tags do work on templates...whodathunkit? Rock on....NeutralHomer T:C 07:13, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- If you call this working. In other words, yes, when they are done correctly. But, not this time. JPG-GR (talk) 07:15, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- Neat! Again, this wouldn't have happened...blah...blah...blah. - NeutralHomer T:C 07:16, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- If you didn't have my talkpage on your watchlist and were wikistalking me as admitted here? Yep, pretty much. JPG-GR (talk) 07:17, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- Neat! Again, this wouldn't have happened...blah...blah...blah. - NeutralHomer T:C 07:16, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
Neat
So quick to remove your personal attack and archive it. Odd.
To respond, like I said, if you knew what you were doing, I wouldn't haven't to keep an eye on you....and if you think someone "keeping an eye" on you is "stalking", then you are just paranoid. When I show up at your door then...and only then...can you call it stalking. Okie dokie. - NeutralHomer T:C 07:20, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
Did You Notice...
...that since your "Catch whomever tomorrow" post on ANI, you have remained online, not updating pages or creating new ones....but for the past 30 some odd minutes, you have been archiving your talk page. Odd for someone who says they are leaving, but almost looks like they are sitting and waiting for a post or something to comment on. Odd. - NeutralHomer T:C 07:27, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
Wait...
Did you just remove something from your archive as vandalism and then archive it...again? Wait, what? - NeutralHomer T:C 07:33, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
Helping with radio stuff
Think you can take a look at Template:AM_station_data & Template:FM_station_data and apply them to some other pages as needed? And thanks for the help on the bad Arbitron edits: their database lookup is screwy. Cwolfsheep (talk) 04:54, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
Sigh
I noticed, from my watchlist (which Metros' talk page is on) this....
Nothing bad yet, but after his unblock, User:Neutralhomer has resumed his stalking of my contribs, as shown here on a page he's never edited before. I don't want to "tattle", but this is how everything has started the last few times.
You don't want to "tattle", but yet you did. Dude, you want to run and "tell the teacher" what bad ol' Neutral Homer did, that's fine....but there is nothing that says I can't edit a page that you have edited and nothing that says you can't do the same. I created WZFM...you want to edit it...you can. You probably created WBCT, but I can edit it.
So...what exactly is the big deal? Furthermore, what is your big deal with me? Seriously. - NeutralHomer T:C 21:37, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
