McCullough Range
Appearance
The mountains in the McCullough Mountains range mostly lie above the city of Henderson, near Las Vegas, in the U.S. state of Nevada.
The are many trails off Horizon ridge, but all except for one are unpaved.
The peak is 7,00 feet.
Most of this range consists of gently sloped mountains and is covered by ancient volcanic rocks. These mountains reach an average height of about 3,800 feet (1160 m).[citation needed]
One of the more prominent mountains in the chain is Black Mountain. Another peak northeast of Black Mountain is home to most of the radio and television transmission towers for the Las Vegas metropolitan area.
