Southern moray eel
Appearance
[1] Gymnothorax austrinus is a moray eel found in the eastern Indian Ocean, around Victoria, Australia. It was first named by Böhlke and McCosker in 2001 and is more commonly known as the Southern moray eel.[2] It likes a moderate temperature, only lives in the ocean and it is a demersal fish, meaning that it leaves near or on the bottom of the ocean. The maximum length discovered was a female at 88.2 cm long.[3] [4]
