Gabriel Prokofiev (born 6 January, 1975) is a British composer, producer, DJ, and Artistic Director of the Nonclassical record label and club night.[1]
Early life
Gabriel Prokofiev was born 6 January, 1975 to an English mother and Russian father Oleg Prokofiev,[2] and is the grandson of the 20th-century composer Sergei Prokofiev. He studied composition at University of Birmingham and University of York and became a producer of Dance, Electro, Hip-hop & Grime music under a variety of guises, producing various artists & bands including, Spektrum, Lady Sovereign, Envy & Shystie.
Career
He founded the independent record label and club night, Nonclassical in 2003.[3]
