COMPUTER PROGRAMMER

1. DESCRIPTION Computer Programmers write instructions in a series of steps that guide computers to process information. Programmers makes these instructions to basically tell the computer what to do in steps.Computer Programmers can work in different types of professions like manufacturing, government offices,hospitals,and engineering.
Programmers jobs are specific and detailed. They receive these job descriptions that provide them with the goal of the program. Then they may prepare charts that show how information will flow through the computer and its equipment. After that, programmers write the actual program using special computer languages. Different computer languages are used for different applications. For example HTML and COBOL can be used for different programs depending on the job description.
Computer Programmers usually must obtain at least a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, computer science, or information systems. They also must have a good understanding of the major programming languages.

2. SALARY Computer programmers make a good amount of money for their salary. Most computer programmers do not have to attend college. A lot only have a high school degree. Also, some have technical training in the field instead of attending a University or College. In Massachusetts salaries for computer programmer range anywhere from $40,000 to $100,000+. It all depends on what business or corporation you are working for and how long you have been in the field. Nationally, computer programmers annual wage ranges from $74,00-$91,000. This annual wage is lower than Massachusetts because of Massachusetts is more city so just with that there are more career opportunities then there would be in the Mid-West.
