Powelliphanta gilliesi jamesoni is a terrestrial mollusc in the family Rhytididae, endemic to the South Island of New Zealand, in the West Nelson area.

The shell has a dark grey and smooth parietal callus (thickened calcareous deposit on the upper part of the inside wall of the aperture).

Coloration is russet, spirally lined, and radially streaked with darker brown.

Major diameter is up to 45 mm, and height up to 24 mm.
