Marek Haltof (Józef Marek Haltof[1], born 1957 in Cieszyn[2]) is Polish professor (dr.hab.) specializing in film studies.[1]

He studied at the Uniwersytet Śląski in Cieszyn and at the Flinders University, Adelaide, Australia.[2] He received the Ph.D. degree in 1995 for the work Kiedy kultury się zderzają [mikroforma]: kino Petera Weira from the University of Alberta. [1] He received his habilitation in 2001 for the work Autor i kino artystyczne. Przypadek Paula Coxa from the Jagiellonian University in Kraków.[1]
