Zeacumantus subcarinatus is a gastropod mollusc of the family Potamididae, endemic to New Zealand, found in the Chatham Islands, the North Island, and the northern half of the South Island.
The shell is smaller than its relative Zeacumantus lutulentus, with sculpturing of closely spaced broad axial folds crossed by deep spiral grooves that cut the axials into three spiral rows of squarish nodes. On the base there are three strong smooth spiral cords. It is very common on muddy intertidal rocks which remain damp at low tide.
Coloration is uniformly brownish-black.
Height is up to 16 mm, and width 6 mm.
