Cargilfield Preparatory School is a private co-educational prep school in Edinburgh, Scotland, Scotland's oldest prep school founded in 1873.

It is a day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 3-13 and caters for approximately 200 pupils. It is Scotland's principal feeder school to numerous British public schools including Eton, Harrow, Ampleforth, Fettes, Glenalmond, Gordonstoun, Downe House, Rugby, Shrewsbury, Winchester, Loretto and numerous others.

Sports at the school include rugby, netball, hockey, skiing and shooting.

Fees are approximately £10,000 - £12,000 per annum.
