Jack Maggs is a band from London.

Plot summary

Template:Spoiler jack maggs began when Nick responded to an ad posted in Soho by Benjie. Benjie is from the North Norfolk Coast and plays guitar. Nick is from Minneapolis, Minnesota and plays bass. They share duties on vocals. The two are cut from the same great stone that is the British Musical Tradition. Sure, America invented Rock 'n' Roll but Britain perfected it.

Their songs stutter and pop and eventually tumble their way to an end. The tumbling bit is greatly helped by the incessant, often times violent drumming of Carl Sampson who makes up the third third of the group.

jack maggs' songs are inspired by the sight of St. Paul's, the scent of London gin, and the sound of the North Sea. If Dickens was around today, Boz would probably have jack maggs in his record collection. The next best thing of course, will be when they become part of yours.
