Creation or creator may refer to:

In religion and philosophy:

• Creation myth, or origin belief, stories of how the world or a culture began.
  • Creation within belief systems, specific origin beliefs in various cultures.
    • Creation according to Genesis, the creation account in the book of Genesis for Judaism and Christianity.
• Creation (theology), the belief that a God or gods brought the universe into existence.
  • Creatio ex nihilo (English: Creation from nothing), the belief that a deity created the universe from nothing at all, rather than some pre-existing matter or energy.
  • Creationism, an ideology generally associated with not just God creating the universe, but also certain specific events afterward including the creation of animals and mankind.
    • Creation Science, the belief that creationism is supported by scientific reasoning as well as religious inspiration.
• Intelligent design, the theory/belief that certain features of the universe and of living things are best explained by an intelligent cause.
• Creator deity, the deity which creates the world; the term is used mainly in monotheism, but is occasionally seen in polytheism to distinguish the creator god.
