WLJS-FM 91.9 is the student-run radio station of Jacksonville State University. The station was established for the purpose of giving students an environment in which they could learn to be radio broadcasters.

WLJS-FM was first chartered on September 29, 1975, it currently operates under the branding, "92-J". Broadcasting at 3000 watts, the station is an auxiliary affiliate of National Public Radio which provides the universtiy and surrounding communites with quality programming, and is the flagship station for all JSU major sporting events. WLJS 92J's sports staff has the opportunity to broadcast JSU football, baseball, softball, men's and women's basketball, and volleyball.

During the morning and mid-day weekdays, the station is mostly dedicated to National Public Radio, but the formatting changes to rock for "92-J Rocks", the mid afternoon show and then varies at night. Regular, or "playlist" DJs are typically new to the air and have little choice in what music they play, usually playing a rotation format. Night shifts are given to "specialty" DJs who have more liberty in making their music selections.

WLJS can be heard through internet broadcasts by visiting the station Website, WLJS 91.9FM "92-J".

WLJS is maintained by the Department of Communication, which is also the parent organization of JSU's campus newspaper, The Chanticleer.

WLJS is located in Self Hall home to JSU's Department of Communication and JSU's campus newspaper, The Chanticleer. The building also houses commercial television station WJXS-CA TV24.
