the spelling for this paticular place, can also be spelled as "uturunku" as most words that involve the letters "k" in quechua and "c" in castellano get transposed one way or the other, thus uturuncu should also be quantified and listed as uturunku also.

Uturunku

Uturuncu, the highest summit in southwestern Bolivia, is a stratovolcano. It displays young well-preserved lava flows at its summit which were erupted during the Pleistocene period. The volcano also shows fumarolic activity.

This phenomenon is evidenced in an article published by "el Potosí" Miércoles 27 de abril del año 2005 Potosí - Bolivia http://www.elpotosi.net 2003.- ®El director del Servicio Nacional de Geología y Minería, Jebner Zambrana, presenta un informe en el que se establece que la nevada caída el año 2002 se filtró a la tierra y fue la causante de la reactivación del volcán Uturunku.
