Gran is no ordinary grandma. Gran was a stop motion animation narrated by Patricia Hayes and directed by Ivor Wood. There were only two main characters, namely Gran and her grandson, Jim.

Michael and Joanne Cole of Woodland Animations created thirteen five-minute episodes in 1982. The series was broadcast on the BBC between February 17 1983 and May 12 1983[1], and was repeated in 1986.

Series 1 at least was released on DVD on March 7 2005[2][3].
