David Lynch is a writer, wine expert, jazz aficionado and lover of life. Lynch graduated from Boston College where he spent his junior year at the infamous 12 Champney Rd. Although the surname may seem incongruous for a specialist in Italian wine, David Lynch is nevertheless half Italian. He grew up in Glastonbury, CT, where he became versed in the subtleties of spaghetti sauce as prepared by his Italian mother, grandmother, and assorted aunts. He worked as a senior editor for Wine & Spirits magazine and has authored wine-related articles for numerous periodicals and websites.[1] He received the prestigous James Beard Journalism Award for his writing in 2001.[1] David left the magazine in May of 2000 to travel from the top to the toe of Italy with his wife, Josie.
