Revision as of 15:05, 6 February 2008

Please find sources for Jaslene's birthplace and neighborhood before putting it in with the citation needed tags again. Uncited material can be removed, and is definitely not looked well upon when it is reinserted, especially when nobody cares enough to actually find a source. Thank you. Mike H. YouTube shouldn't be used as a source because it is hard to establish copyright, therefore, we as Wikipedians might be infringing on someone else's copyrights by using it. As far as blogs (such as LiveJournal), they are not allowed as verifiable sources as per WP:BLP#Reliable sources. Please don't revert my edits without providing proper sources as well as formatting the text properly.
Thanks. SWik78 (talk) 01:38, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please read WP:RS to see what constitutes a reliable source. And please, if I have enough courtesy to discuss changes I make to your edits, I really would appreciate if you provided a discussion or even just an edit summary to explain why you're reverting my edits.
Thanks again. SWik78 (talk) 14:01, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, welcome, thanks for helping improve the Jaslene González. SWik contacted me about your disagreement with the future magazine cover, and I have to say I agree with them, as I think every other Wikipedian will. YouTube and Livejournal are not reliable sources, because it would be so easy to add fake info into them. All articles, but especially biographies of living persons, require references to reliable sources, and unreferenced material can be removed at any time. However, you're free to re-add the content if you do find a reliable source for it, say a book or a magazine or newspaper article. But please don't readd the content without a reliable source. Don't hesitate to leave me a message on my talk page if you have any questions or need anything, I'm always glad to help. Thanks again for helping out, sorry to be a pain.
