Kevin R. C. Gutzman is an American author and historian. He is an associate professor of the Department of History and Non-Western Cultures at Western Connecticut State University.[1]

Education, writing, and academic career

Gutzman studied as an undergraduate, graduate, and professional school student at the University of Texas, completing his B.A. there in 1985, and earning his M.P.Aff. and J.D. in 1990. He then matriculated as a graduate student in history at the University of Virginia, where he was awarded an M.A. in history in 1994 and a Ph.D. in 1999.[1]

Scholarly journals publishing Gutzman's peer-reviewed articles include The Journal of Southern History, The Journal of the Early Republic, The Review of Politics, The Journal of the Historical Society, The Virginia Magazine of History and Biography, Continuity: A Journal of History, The Journal of Libertarian Studies, The Greek Orthodox Theological Review, and Essays in History.[1] He is a columnist at LewRockwell.com[2] and has also published in Human Events, National Review, Chronicles: A Magazine of American Culture, Military History, and dozens of historical encyclopedias and collections. His scholarly book reviews span the historical journals.[3]
