Admiral Sushil Kumar, a Nagercoilite Christian from Tamil Nadu, was a Chief of Naval Staff in the Indian Navy. His christian surname is Isaac which he dropped as not to confuse his initial with his brother who is also in the Service. He would instructs his men with a quote from the Holy Gita "Do thy duty, reward is not thy concern'" [1]. He was one of the highest ranking Indian christians in the Indian armed services [2].

Assassination Attempt

Now retired, Sushil Kumar was supposedly the target of an assassination attempt in 2000.
