Acting president
Hi there, I left you a similar message regarding this about six days ago, and I see that message was ignored and deleted. Oh well. You first claimed that George H. W. Bush and Dick Cheney should have the acting president mention in thier respective infoboxes because it abides by Wikipedia policy, but after asking you what policy, you have yet to point me to such policy. After waiting five days for a response from you, I reverted the edits because: 1.) it was one (or in Cheney's case, two) day(s) of an eight year vice presidency (in fact, they weren't even full days) and that is placing undue weight on that single day; 2.) Your edit on Cheney's page only mentioned that he served as acting president (for less than a day) in 2002, but neglected to mention that he also served as acting president (for less than a day) in 2007. Then in this message on my talk page, you make it sound like I am the one who have improperly conducted myself here, which is not the case. You also say that "Cheney was sworn in as President of the US", which is false. President Reagan, and later President GW Bush, signed a piece of paper that authorized Vice President Bush (and later VP Cheney) to serve as acting president while the serving president was under anesthesia. The two men were not sworn in, but rather authorized; that's big difference.

Please do not revert me until you have discussed this issue on either Talk:George H. W. Bush (where there is already a discussion occuring), or Talk:Dick Cheney. Thanks. --Happyme22 (talk) 17:27, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
